The reason that Fastline Simulation was formed and exists is to publish and distribute high quality rail simulation products. The first question many people will want to ask is: Why do we need another publisher when there are already a number available? The answer is quite simple: From a fairly early involvement in the UK commercial train simulation world it quite quickly became apparent that the playing field sloped considerably, and not in the favour of the developers. What's not known by many is the miniscule amount of money made by developers of commercial train simulation add-ons compared to publishers and retailers. One of the first principals of Fastline Simulation is to begin to redress that balance giving the developers (the people who spend their time and effort making the product) a much better slice of the cake. At Fastline Simulation we also feel that the entire train simulation sector has been woefully neglected in bringing the hobby to the public gaze. Most of the traditional publishers have taken the stance that making sure a product is known about on the interest websites and listed with a few retailers is all that the hobby needs. On this basis it's not surprising that there are a large number of people interested in railways who are still unaware of the existence of the train simulator world and some of the excellent products available. To this end we intend that all products (at the discretion of the developer) should be supported as strongly as possible by advertising in interest magazines and on the internet. What else makes Fastline Simulation different? From our prior and continuing involvement in commercial add-ons for train simulators we like to think we have a better understanding of the entire hobby. To this end:
